I do this to keep myself and others motivated.
My mom is in town and it was fun today to surf through the ads and look at all our coupons and then go shopping together. Of course we hit our favorite places; Target, Walgreens, and CVS. I finally got toothpaste for free! I have been holding onto these coupons because I didn't want to use a coupon and still pay $1 for toothpaste when I knew there were times (before I started couponing) that my mom would get it for .50 or something insanely cheap.
Todays savings:
TARGET
Kid hangers, Swiffer type floor wipes (Targets brand), Cascade Dish Rinse, Hershey Chocolates, 2 bags of chocolate chip cookie snacks, 2 Easy Mac, Pizza Sauce, 2 frozen fruit chillers, 2 Quattro razors (one for me, one for Drew), and then a fridge magnet planner, and scrapbook letters.
Out of pocket, I paid: $18.37 and saved: $24.09. (Usually I dont buy so many things that I don't have coupons for, like the floor wipes, hangers, magnet planner, letters, and pizza sauce, but my mom loves to shop and browse and spend! So her habits rub off on me while I am with her and without realizing it I am tossing stuff into my basket too which I had no intentions of buying when I walked in!)
WALGREENS
2 Shampoo + Conditioners, 2 Mr. Clean magic erasers, and 2 Mr. Clean liquid cleaners.
I paid: $8.67 and saved: $13.64 (Plus I recieved two $2 RR's for my next trip!)
CVS
When my mom left this afternoon she made off with my CVS bag, so there is no picture. I bought Dawn hand soap and Colgate toothpaste.
I paid: .63 (yes 63 cents!) and saved $4.80. (and I recieved $2 ECB for my next trip!)
