My Shopping Day

Today was a fun shopping day! Huge sales because of Cinco De Mayo...and the coupon fairy left some awesome coupons for me on products I wanted to buy because they were on sale, but I didn't have coupons for. Thank you coupon fairy! (Coupon Fairys in the world of Couponers are the people who leave coupons; when you see coupons laying around the store, that someone else has left, possibly they changed their minds...or wanted to share their fortune. Today it really helped me out!!)


ALBERTSONS
This was the highlight of my day. I started this blog to show my mom my savings, so I wouldn't have to call her all the time, but this trip I had to call her about. :)
2 cans of Manwich, 2 boxes of Tostado Shells, 2 cans of Enchilada Sauce, 2 bags of Tortilla Chips, 2 cans of tuna fish, 1 Vitamin Water (not pictured...I drank it already), 2 Scotch Brite Sponges, 3 Flipz Pretzels, 2 bags of Tortillas, a Hershey Bar, and Hot Dogs.
My total before savings:$45.03 I paid: $12.96 I saved: $32. 07 (I was stoked! Many of the things I got were free!)


FRYS (Kroger)
This was a good trip too! They double coupons up to a dollar, so I really save when I shop there.
I got 2 12 packs of Toilet Paper (my main cost), Pot Roast Frozen Dinner, Popcorn, Shampoo and Conditioner, 2 boxes of Taco Shells, 2 packs of Sausage, Toothpaste, 4 jars of Baby Food, bag of Tortillas, 2 bananas.
My total before savings: $66.96 I paid: $31.49 I saved: $34.06


BASHAS (local grocery chain)
I got a pack of Hot Dogs, Eggs, Ice Cream, Bakery Bread, 4 Fruit Bowls, bag of Beans, bag of Rice, Sausage, Mayo, 2 Seasoning Packs, 2 Lunch Meats, Chocolate Chips, Propel, and Cat Food (I don't have a cat, the Sunday Paper had a coupon to get a box free...I am donating it to a local shelter.)
Total before savings: $57.69 I spent: $29.14 I saved: $28.55


TARGET
My savings at Target weren't so great, but I didn't mind, since I saved so much money earlier in the day. My parents are coming to town today for a week so I really wanted this Bertolli sauce to make meals with, and Target had it for the cheapest price, and I had coupons for it.
3 Bottles of Alfredo Sauce and 1 can of Refried Beans- My total before savings:$7.19 I paid: $5.14, I saved: $2.05

    You are so awesome. You have totaly inspired me to get back into it. I stopped for a while because I was so sick. I want to be excited about grocery shopping again! It helps to go with someone too...I wish you still loved over here :(

    Aw, I wish I lived over there too. I tell my sister in law all the time I wished she lived down here so we could go shopping together. I want someone to share the excitement with!
