Wednesdays Shopping at Fry's

I love going grocery shopping with coupons. I like handing the cashier my coupons, and I love when the cashier hands me my receipt and tells me how much I saved. There are those occasions when my savings aren’t as great as I had anticipated, but some savings are better than no savings (in my mind). But this shopping trip, has to be one of my favorites and one of those times when I realize why couponing is so important. It’s not just about the savings, it’s about being smart and utilizing resources available to me. Wait till you see my savings on this trip! I bought:
-2 Cheez-Its: on sale $1.49 each, used $1.50 off 2 coupon
-Jose Ole Taquitos: on sale $2.49, used $0.35 off coupon, which tripled to $1 off
-Gerber Oatmeal: $3.49, used $1.50 off coupon
-2 Kotex Pads: on sale $2.50 each, used $2 off 2 coupon
-2 Birds Eye Frozen Dinners: on sale $5.99 each, used Buy One Get One Free coupon
-Snyders Pretzels: on sale $2.49, used $0.25 off coupon which quadrupled to $1 off
-2 Chex Mix: on sale $1.97 each, used $1 off 2 coupon
-Betty Crocker Potatoes: on sale $1.49, used $0.35 off coupon which tripled to $1 off
-Activia Yogurt: on sale $1.99, used $1 off coupon
-2 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks: on sale $1.99 each, used $0.75 off 2 coupon which doubled to $1 off
-Aquafresh Toothpaste: on sale $2.50, used $1 off coupon
-Halls: on sale $1, used $0.50 off coupon which doubled to $1 off
-3 Uncle Ben’s Rice: on sale $1.49 each, used $1 off 3 coupon
-2 Quaker Granola Bars: on sale $1.99 each, used $0.75 off 2 coupon, which doubled to $1 off
-2 Tylenol: on sale $3 each, used two $1 off coupons
-Birds Eye Fresh Vegetables: on sale $1.99, used $0.50 off coupon which doubled to $1 off
-2 Tombstone Pizzas: on sale $2.49 each, used $1 off 2 coupon
-Beechnut Jar Food: on sale $0.77
-Dozen Eggs: on sale $1.38
-Gallon Milk: on sale $1.47
-2 Right Guard Deodorants: on sale $1.50 each, used $0.75 off 2 coupon, which doubled to $1 off
-2 Wishbone Dressings: on sale $1.99 each, used $1 off 2 coupon

Fry’s is having a promotion when you buy 10 participating items you get $5 off your total. I bought 30 items they had listed so I got $15 off my total.

I SPENT: $32.82 and SAVED: $87 even!
