Here is my (not-so) secret:
A 3 Ring Binder. It's personalized and everything. Inside this binder are baseball card holders that hold all my coupons. (I buy sets of them at Wal-Mart for around $3.) Also there are dividers to divide my coupons in to what I thought were the most popular categories for coupons. Here they are:
All my food and drink coupons go in here. Inside this section there is another section for drinks, frozen foods, meats, yogurt, etc...they aren't labeled I just put the coupons in the same area.
This is for all my paper products, like paper towels, toilet paper, etc... Inside this section is also air freshner and candle stuff.
This is for all my feminine products, shampoos, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and deodorants, etc...
This section has all my cleaners, obviously. This is a picture of my old envelopes. (Now I shop at Safeway and do very little shopping at CVS and Walgreens) I have new ones that I decorated with my cricut and stickers. But I am not showing those because those may be a future giveaway (personalized laminated shopping envelopes). I used to go grocery shopping with both my binder and envelopes. That way if I was walking down an aisle and noticed a sale item not in their ad I could look to see if I had a coupon for it. Now that I take 2 kids grocery shopping with me most of the time I just take my envelope. If I shop alone I take the binder too.
So there you have it! I am currently testing out a new way to coupon and if I find this new method effective I will post about it. I have only been trying it for a couple of weeks, and so far it's ok. I want to give it about 2 months to see if I like it as much as clipping and organizing my coupons this way!
I am all for feedback! Hope this helps!

Wow, that looks like alot of work but very organized. I may try that...my method isn't working that great for me so I should try.
